ABOUT ARTWORK
Girish, 24 year old Orrisa born artist says I really enjoyed making this one; it's pretty different to my usual stuff. I used several brushes. This Digital Painting is dedicated to all those people as much as I enjoyed the film Avatar, for me one of the best films so far (and very difficult to overcome). The nose and eye ball took me the longest in this, its very tough to create….I did have to search for a few references to look at and sketch….
Took about 30-36 hours
Let’s have a look how I proceeded with this artwork step by step
1) Collected references to see and understand artwork, like movie wallpapers, Concept blueprints etc.
2) Choose Color Shade tones for light and dark shading.
3) Choose Brush in Photoshop and adjust with shape dynamics, Jitter and Angle.4) Started with Photoshop, brush settings and light shade of light blue and grey to give base of figure. Make different layers for different part of face for shading.
5) Start shading face base part as cut-outs.6) Stroke in directions to give base shape of face
7) Paint Eye ball base and Neck Part.
8) Start giving coloured strokes as you finish with base shading. Use different colour tones for shading. Use 50% opacity for light shading. And number of time paint in different direction.

9) As you get base colour tone, start doing detailing of each part on different layers.
10) Adjust Colour tone by using Saturation, Paint light direction and work on colour tones to give final touch. Adjust variation for overall colour tone.

I enjoyed doing this artwork a lot. Detailing took time to finish but it gives you more understanding to learn. So guys keep passion alive by creating design.
